Our journey began in 2001 when a group of Vietnamese American professionals in Silicon Valley returned from a momentous trip with President Clinton during his historic visit to Vietnam. In 2001, they established a network for Vietnamese tech entrepreneurs known as the Vietnamese Silicon Valley Network (VSVN). As our influence grew, we opened our first chapter in Southern California in 2005, and with a renewed focus, we rebranded as the Vietnamese Strategic Ventures Network, forging alliances in Texas and partnering with an affiliate in France.

In 2010, propelled by a wave of interest from both Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese tech enthusiasts around the world, we took a bold step forward by establishing a strong presence in Vietnam. Embracing this evolution, we rechristened ourselves as Strategic Alliance Vietnamese Ventures International, affectionately known as SAVVi. Despite the name change, our commitment to our core mission remained unwavering—to champion the next Vietnamese unicorn.
